First topic message reminder :

Hi! So...i am designing 2 forums now..and i would get lots of one-liner doubts..
Since this is fmdesign, i came here to seek some small helps that i need. Any help would be highly appreciated ^^
I didnt want to open tones of topics in support forum, so..yeah
Please move the thread to appropriate section if it isnt. (I deeply apologize to just create a topic :/ )

1. How can i style the "+" & "-" vote buttons to be green n red? I tried dev tools but didnt find their class..
2. How can i add an icon BEFORE and AFTER too in "who is online" , "statistics" etc (all h3)..i only know about adding 1 image.
3. How to style footer like in support forum? (Image n all)
4. Visit http://freetest.forumotion.net ..take a look at any topic.. im using dark skin by matti, and there's a big gap between post profile and post area..how do i get rid of it

Thats it for now..ill keep posting here until im done. Thanks so much if someone helps ^^

The URL is sort of randomized, so your best choice is check the HTML DOM where the vote buttons are to retrieve the URL. That's if they're set to display none. Otherwise you'll need to disable javascript and do the above.

You could use negative margin, but then the whitespace would overlap the latter image. I think you notice that though. Razz

The white space in your image :
My casual, random and whatnot design doubts - Page 3 Faq10
The green resembles the open space in your image. Very Happy

If someone clicks the blank spot it takes them to that page, that's why the negative margin wouldn't do a good job. Editing out the white space on the sides will work. ^^

You're welcome. ^^

Sets with white space on the sides aren't the greatest of choices for navigation. You can use margin if you want spacing ! Razz

yeah actually this was a PSD set I got from Dustybones, I tweaked it up for my use, but I left the canvas size the way it was, thinking that it would work that way..
I'm not very smart. *facepalm*

Oooohhh you have to make sure you clean up the open space. Vertical space isn't really a problem if it's even, but horizontal is going to make ugly spaces. Sad

Alright I got the navbar working! However I'm facing a minor problem..
How do I select the statistics link?
We have that applied in the nav bar and I can't add its hover button.. I'm trying to use this code
Code:
.navbar a.mainmenu [href="/statistics"] :hover {
  background: url('http://i39.servimg.com/u/f39/18/80/95/58/stats10.png') no-repeat 0 0;
  width: 89px;
  height: 40px;
}

But its not really working.. Sad help!

forum url : http://ntsd.open-board.com

also, I'm not sure whether you remember or not, but there was this category n forum look we posted here, are you on that? just asking.

Thanks!

I was working on a lot so I haven't gotten to that unfortunately, sorry ..

Try this, I think it's because your attribute selector is spaced.
Code:
.navbar a.mainmenu[href="/statistics"]:hover {
  background: url('http://i39.servimg.com/u/f39/18/80/95/58/stats10.png') no-repeat 0 0;
  width: 89px;
  height: 40px;
}

Code:
a.mainmenu[href="/statistics"]:hover {
  background: url('http://i39.servimg.com/u/f39/18/80/95/58/stats10.png') no-repeat 0 0;

I see, isn't the pseudo class for hover ?
Code:
a.mainmenu[href="/statistics"]:hover

To set a default remove :hover

I finally applied the theme on the main forum.. and there's one last annoying little thing that I, for some reason, can't fix.
My casual, random and whatnot design doubts - Page 3 Untitl14

I CAN'T CHANGE THAT! Sad Sad
forum : ntsd.open-board.com

edit: I also wanted to BOLD the topic's name in the latest topic widget, I searched the support forum to find a code by you, that sadly isn't working. :/ here it is:
Code:
.module.latestTopics a[href^="/t"] {
    font-weight:bold;
}

help :/

For the ticker, try this :
Code:
html #fa_ticker .fa_ticker_content{top:-8px;}

For your latest topics, try this :
Code:
#right .module a[href^="/t"] { font-weight:bold; }
