New Theme + Layout Updates

Theme

In case you haven't noticed yet, let me point it out for you --> I installed a new theme on the forum today -- the one I've been shedding blood, sweat, and tears on for Months which will be available to the Forumotion community very soon ..! Wink

This new theme -- code named "Forumactif Edge" or "FAE" for short -- is designed to be modern, responsive so you can browse on any device with little issues, and stand out from the norm. It also comes ready with numerous plugins, such as the sidebar widgets and quick navigation, AND the theme switcher right below the navigation bar.. try it out if you haven't. Naughty

Anyway, if you have any feedback or bugs on the theme, feel free to let me know in the topic @Samantha posted :

This theme is open source, so you can in fact grab the code right now, but I wouldn't recommend doing so just yet because we still need to perform a beta test. STILL if you're interested in trying it early you can either join the beta testers to get indepth instructions or blindly follow a specific link in the footer, OR just wait for the official production release. The choice is yours my friends ! Razz

All that's left to say is... Let's work together to make this the best non-official forum version for forumotion. Cool

Layout

With theme changes, comes a new layout. I've moved a lot of forums around on the forum and created some new sections as well, such as a questions forum that the community has been asking for. For those of you who have asked questions, you can find your topics in this forum. Feel free to also create new help topic in that forum as well. Wink

Now to give you some insight, here's the new layout in text form :

It's, of course, subject to change and some may be a bit empty for a little while until I've regained a decent schedule that's not occupied by FA Edge, AND built up a team. However, once this theme has been officially released I'll be taking a short vacation to regain my energy and clear my head. After this, you can expect to see new content for improving your forums, even though this theme is one of them. Cool

The sliding widget menu works so well at keeping the forum looking cleaner and less cluttered

I feel it looks alot better having the categories stretched across the whole forum.

love what you done with the place the paint work really goes with your eyes and the sofa looks just right in the bay window LOL

just need a new coffee mug to go with that coffee machine and the pizza oven needs to be moved from the back room to the main forum so we can all have some LOL Good job on the theme Loving it Party
