Hi @smurfavr,

Try adding the following CSS rule to your stylesheet :
Display > Colors > CSS stylesheet
Code:
.marquee a {
  word-break:break-word;
}

Question: Why wouldn't this work (below) to complete it? Because it's a different element? Btw, I've got this in my phpBB3 CSS so it probs won't work in phpBB2... and I despite widgets... No

Code:
.postbody {word-wrap: break-word;}
.postbody a{word-break: break-all;}

.postbody affects the forum posts. Specifically :
[SOLVED] Recent box topitss became greater. How to make her normal size? Captur75

I recommended
Code:
.marquee a
, because his problem was occurring in the scrolling topics widget. It came from a lengthy title, and breaking the words in the anchor corrects the problem.

Thanks for your quick response as we're about having dinner here. I figured it was the widgets doing that (Marquee said it all actually). Smile I hate widgets lol!

Yeah, the problem mostly occurs on phpbb2 because there's hardly any fixed widths or hidden overflows, so it causes containers and the page to stretch due to unbreakable lines of text.

@smurfavr it's not anything you did, so don't worry about that. Wink

The problem was caused by a long topic title in the widget. The topic title stretched the widget because of its length.
