Question: Why wouldn't this work (below) to complete it? Because it's a different element? Btw, I've got this in my phpBB3 CSS so it probs won't work in phpBB2... and I despite widgets...

Thanks for your quick response as we're about having dinner here. I figured it was the widgets doing that (Marquee said it all actually). I hate widgets lol!
Yeah, the problem mostly occurs on phpbb2 because there's hardly any fixed widths or hidden overflows, so it causes containers and the page to stretch due to unbreakable lines of text.
@smurfavr it's not anything you did, so don't worry about that.
The problem was caused by a long topic title in the widget. The topic title stretched the widget because of its length.
