Forumotion Template List

I've been working on the templates recently and took it upon myself to crawl my forum to index what templates us normal founders are able to modify. Below is a complete list of the authorized templates. Templates not listed here are restricted to normal founders. Templates marked in red are editable, but not shown to founders.

To edit hidden templates use these three URLs :
EDIT : /admin/index.forum?part=themes&sub=templates&mode=edit_main&t=TEMPLATE_ID&l=main&extended_admin=1&tid=TID
PUBLISH : /admin/index.forum?part=themes&sub=templates&mode=edit_main&main_mode=edit&extended_admin=1&t=TEMPLATE_ID&l=main&pub=1&tid=TID
DELETE : /admin/index.forum?del=1&extended_admin=1&l=main&main_mode=edit&mode=edit_main&part=themes&sub=templates&t=TEMPLATE_ID&tid=TID

Make sure to replace TEMPLATE_ID with one of the ids listed below, and replace TID with the tid at the end of your admin panel URL. The URLs above are paths and should be appended onto the end of your hostname. For example :

Nice list , good to see what can be modified.

No problem. I bet with this we'll be able to add our JavaScripts into the templates so they affect the chatbox now.

I haven't given it an indepth edit, but I did test it and can confirm that the templates are editable.

Trust me though, I ran a script that went through each template id and at least 90% out of the 1500 templates I scanned returned "not authorized" which means there's either a lot of templates we can't access or they're dummys / placeholders.

I believe we're restricted from accessing that template, along with the advanced profile. I WISH we could edit the advanced profile template, but we can't.. I was secretly hoping to find that when crawling the template list.

I believe LG found a way to access it. Not sure though. Better ask him when he's on again (not sure when that 'll be)

Thanks for all the hard work the last days, @Ange Tuteur. Very interesting, but since my board is stabile now there's no need for me to alter something more. I think I may be done 'designing' for a bit.

I may not be logging in frequently, but I'm still keeping an eye on those posts yk

May i ask how are we supposed to publish those hidden templates? I mean for example the chatbox ones are not visible so we don't have to publish them?

@Luffy you have to use these three links to edit, publish, and delete the hidden templates :

After you edit the template you have to use the same method to publish the template. That is, copying the "publish" link above which adds the query pub=1, therefore publishing the template once you hit the enter key or clicking go on your browser.

Yep, so far the only hidden ones I found were the chatbox templates.. Makes me wonder if anything else is hidden.

question : once edit you can not 'see preview?

@jessy you should be able to see a preview of the template by adding ?tt=1 to the end of your URL. For example :
https://fmdesign.forumotion.com/chatbox?tt=1

Only thing is if you go to edit them via this page it doesn't work right. Guess 'cause we're "not allowed".

^ I doubt it, because I ran a script which went through about 1500 pages and 90% of them returned "not authorized". I stopped at around 1500, so if you're up for looking further I'd say knock yourself out.

is it possible for me to have this script manul is way hard i tried about 50 different number but only i get not authorized

I discarded it when I was done, but this is similar to what I used :

Just go to your admin panel and execute it in the console. Right click > inspect > console tab

index is the starting point + 1. e.g. -1 == 0, 1 == 2, 5 == 6, etc..
delay is the delay between requests. Set it to 0 if you want it to be faster.

dont ever be **** and Edit them with out backup
the default templates are Empty i made a few Edits then i made delete to restore defaults but i was shocked the templates are now Empty
im lucky its just a testing forum btw
