@Ange Tuteur Hello, I recently switched a forum I own over to forumactif edge. I was messing with the control panel, but whenever I try to change something and hit save changes, it does nothing? You can see what it does in the image below.
Thanks
Thanks

Hi,
You should wait about 5 seconds and the changes will be saved. The blue bar with 50% written on it is the progress bar. If you wait and nothing happens, try pressing F12(to open the console), then press F5 to reload the page. Make the changes in the panel, then click on save, wait for about 2 seconds, then make a screenshot(don't close the Console).

This is just a test forum, before I move my other forum to it. Just figured I would let you know that. I just don't want to run into these issues when I go to move it so I am trying to figure everything out with the test forum.

Well, I moved my actual forum over to it. Same thing. ? I need to fix it soon, as the way it looks now appears rather "unattractive."
Hi,
The error "form.edit_code is undefined" means the stylesheet could not be found. (The alias of the stylesheet is edit_code) I find that peculiar, because all forums share the same admin panel structure, so the only explanation I can think of is that your connection to the AP timed out somehow.
I added an extra condition that'll alert you if the CSS stylesheet could not be found. If this error appears let me know. Also when updating general settings, it may take a few seconds or minutes depending on a few factors :
1. The size of your stylesheet (more CSS = longer processing time)
2. Your connection speed
3. Forumotion's server status
It's best to be patient if no errors were logged in the CP. Of course if it's taking too long, you can open your console (F12, Right Click > Inspect > Console) to check for errors that may not have been logged by the CP.

@Ange Tuteur That is exactly what it does now. It says "CRITICAL ERROR : CSS STYLESHEET NOT FOUND"
I see, that's definitely a problem.
If possible, could you provide me with a test account via PM that has access to the AP ? That should help me locate and identify the issue more quickly, because I'm not able to replicate it here or on my test forum.

I don't have a test account for you, but you could make an account. Then let me know it's you on here and I will give you access to the ACP. I say let me know on here, so know one here see's this and makes a account there claiming to be you if you know what i mean. lol The site is here.
Thanks @Ange Tuteur
Thanks @Ange Tuteur
No problem, my account has been created. Let me know when you're ready and I'll investigate the issue to see what's going on.

You should be good to go @Ange Tuteur Whenever your ready.
Thanks
Thanks I made a few tests and it worked okay on my end. Could you clarify a few things for me ?
- When you go to Admin Panel > Display > Colors what do you see ? (screenshot if possible)
- While viewing the stylesheet open the console (F12 or Right Click > Inspect > Console) and execute the code provided below.
- Code:
($('form[method="post"]')[0].edit_code ? '' : 'NOT ') + 'FOUND'
- If you have another browser, could you try testing with it ? Just to make sure if the problem is browser related or not.

I tried chrome. Same thing. I am slightly confused. The problem this has been occuring on is when I try to use Edge control panel? The one in the screen shot. I wasn't trying to change the color through the Administration panel CSS. I was using the Forumactif edge color.
Yes, I know the problem is occurring in the FAE Control Panel. I asked for you to check the stylesheet, because I wanted to see if there were any inconsistencies with it on your end -- to confirm whether or not the issue was a timeout or something else that I'm unaware of.
I do have one other thing that you can test as well, to check if the issue is account related. Try accessing and using the control panel with the test account I created, I'll send the info via PM.
Sorry for making you do all of this btw. This one really has me stumped since I can't recreate it on my end.

Screen shot:
Using the edge control panel, it did the same thing when I signed into your test account.
Then I put the code in, and and it said the following.
Syntax Error: missing ; before statement
I could give you the password to my account. I don't have any private messages I wouldn't mind you reading, not that I think you would. Not sure if that would help or not.
Also, no worries. Your going out of your way to help me, so thanks.

Hmm, since it did the same thing in my account I doubt it would be any different if I tested it in the founder account. It's not account or browser related, so the last thing I can think of is your network connection or computer. What's your upload/download speeds ? Also, if you have another device you can test with, try using the control panel on there.
One more thing, if you're using Chrome you can check the status of outgoing network requests. Go to the FAE Control Panel and once it's loaded open the console (F12) and click the Network tab. Once it's open click Save Changes for general settings. The requests you want to pay attention to are the ones sent to index.forum :
The first request gets the stylesheet which only takes about 200ms, whereas the second request updates the stylesheet. If you're using the default styles, it can take roughly 15 seconds to complete. If the request isn't complete it'll say "pending."

Ok, so tried 3 different internet connections and a tablet as well as my brothers computer. This is really odd. I am going to try another computer at the shop tomorrow. If all fails and it works for you, as unfortunate as it is... could you just change the colors for me? Certainly didn't think it would come down to that. Not that I'm surprised, been a terrible week.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Ok so, I tried my gym wifi, and that made it work. So I will just have to do it there. You where right, it is the wifi.
However so I can go way and stop bothering you, since you have access to the ACP, is it to possible when you get time you could remove the share buttons from the tool bar? And lastly, tell me.. is there a way to get the widgets to display on the side of the forum? Right now, you have to use the drop down menu, I just want them right on the face of the forum.
I know your busy, so take your time, and thanks.

I see, that's really strange. Perhaps it's a limitation of your ISP or settings for your router ? ( tbh I have no idea what could cause this issue )
To hide the share icons, add the following CSS rule to your stylesheet.
For disabling the widget toggle, see the following topic.

For the widgets, I used the following code. It worked, although, I need to make them less wide and do you know how to remove the title above all the widgets that says "widget menu." Kinda Tacky.
- Code:
.widget_menu { display:none; }
#fa_sticky_nav_button { display:block; }
#right .module_inner { position:static; }
#right {
position:static;
float:right;
margin-left:-306px;
background:none;
}
#content { margin-right:306px; }
#main {
width:100%;
float:left;
}
Add the following css rule to you stylesheet to hide the widget title.
As for the size of the widget column, try replacing your current CSS (in your previous post) with the CSS below.
- Code:
#right > .module_column_title {
display:none;
}
