This tutorial will help you with the removal of the top posters/mark forums read table for phpbb2.

Before making any changes, be sure that your forum meets the following conditions:
1.) You must be the founder of the forum and have access to its templates
2.) Your forum version must be phpBB2

Editing the index_body template
Go to Administration Panel > Display > Templates > General and open the template called index_body by clicking the modify cog.()

Locate this part of the template and remove it:
Code:
<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
 <tr>
 <td width="50%" valign="top">
 <!-- BEGIN switch_user_logged_in -->
 <span class="gensmall"><a href="{U_MARK_READ}" class="gensmall">{L_MARK_FORUMS_READ}</a></span>
 <!-- END switch_user_logged_in -->
 <!-- BEGIN switch_delete_cookies -->
 <br /><span class="gensmall"><a href="{switch_delete_cookies.U_DELETE_COOKIES}" class="gensmall">{switch_delete_cookies.L_DELETE_COOKIES}</a></span>
 <!-- END switch_delete_cookies -->
 </td>
 <td width="50%" align="right">
 <span class="gensmall">
 <a href="{U_TODAY_ACTIVE}" class="gensmall">{L_TODAY_ACTIVE}</a><br />
 <a href="{U_TODAY_POSTERS}" class="gensmall">{L_TODAY_POSTERS}</a><br />
 <a href="{U_OVERALL_POSTERS}" class="gensmall">{L_OVERALL_POSTERS}</a>
 <!-- BEGIN switch_on_index -->
 <!-- BEGIN switch_delete_cookies -->
 <br /><a href="{switch_on_index.switch_delete_cookies.U_DELETE_COOKIES}" class="gensmall">{switch_on_index.switch_delete_cookies.L_DELETE_COOKIES}</a>
 <!-- END switch_delete_cookies -->
 <!-- END switch_on_index -->
 </span>
 </td>
 </tr>
</table>

If you are having trouble finding it, try searching for one of its unique variables to pinpoint its location. When you are done be sure to save your changes. Afterwards you can preview the changes to the template by clicking the new window button on "Waiting " and see if you like it. If you do like it be sure to click the plus "" to publish the template for viewing publicly.

If you did the recent steps correctly your forum should now look like this. You could replace the content of the table above to your own personalized content if you wanted however, you will need some experience with HTML. Thanks for reading and good luck with your forums! Wink
