This tutorial will help you with the removal of the last visit/unanswered posts table for phpbb2.

Before making any changes, be sure that your forum meets the following conditions:
1.) You must be the founder of the forum and have access to its templates
2.) Your forum version must be phpBB2

Editing the index_box template
Go to Administration Panel > Display > Templates > General and open the template called index_box by clicking the modify cog.(phpbb2: Removal of Last Visit/Unanswered Posts Table Editer)

Locate this part of the template and remove it:
Code:
<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0" align="center">
 <tr>
 <td valign="bottom">
 <!-- BEGIN switch_user_logged_in -->
 <span class="gensmall">{LAST_VISIT_DATE}<br />
 {CURRENT_TIME}<br />
 </span>
 <!-- END switch_user_logged_in -->
 <div class="nav"><a class="nav" href="{U_INDEX}">{L_INDEX}</a>{NAV_CAT_DESC}</div>
 </td>
 <td class="gensmall" align="right" valign="bottom">
 <!-- BEGIN switch_user_logged_in -->
 <a class="gensmall" href="{U_SEARCH_NEW}">{L_SEARCH_NEW}</a><br />
 <a class="gensmall" href="{U_SEARCH_SELF}">{L_SEARCH_SELF}</a><br />
 <!-- END switch_user_logged_in -->
 <a class="gensmall" href="{U_SEARCH_UNANSWERED}">{L_SEARCH_UNANSWERED}</a>
 </td>
 </tr>
</table>

This table is exactly at the beginning of the index_body so it should be easy to find. Once you are finished removing it from the template be sure to hit save. Before publishing the template click on the new window arrow on "Waiting phpbb2: Removal of Last Visit/Unanswered Posts Table New_window" to preview the outcome, if its what you want be sure to publish the template by clicking the plus "phpbb2: Removal of Last Visit/Unanswered Posts Table Ajouter".

If you have done the recent steps correctly then your index should now look somewhat like this. If you want you can add your different links or whatever you want in that area if you're experienced in HTML. Thanks for reading, and good luck with your forums! Wink
