Becoming A Graphic Designer

Graphic Designers are staff members that create graphics for those that request them, submit art into the gallery (as much or as little preferred), and manage these sections to keep them organized, clean, and easy to navigate through. If you enjoy creating forum art (such as signatures, icons, buttons, and logos), helping members, and improving your skills, this is probably the right position for you.

Application Requirements:
If you wish to become a designer here on FM Design, there are a few prerequisites that you must fulfill in order to be considered. If you do not meet any of the requirements listed below, your application will not be considered.

Things to consider is that the hiring process is a slow one. We can take anywhere between one and two months to hire you, when we are considering you for a position. This is due to the fact that we have to get know you, get to trust you, and we have to see that you are dedicated to your role. We will observe you to see that you are active, helpful, and kind while you are being considered for a job here.

Designer Expectations:
--Be dedicated to your work. Improvement and development on artwork should be a goal.
--Helpfulness: The entire purpose of this job is to offer a graphic service in order to help those without the skills required.
--Professionalism & Respect: You should be mature, respectful, and kind to all others, members and staff alike.
--Teamwork Skills: You must have the ability and willingness to work within a team. This means being willing to communicate openly with all staff, to work on designer team projects with other designers, and a willingness to work within a democracy.
--Be able to take criticism. We all need to improve and we all do our best--this means taking the bad and the good feedback, so long as your art is not being insulted or degraded.
