I never heard about ".contact-item" before. What exactly are you trying to hide?

Hello,
Try this code:
Code:

$(function() {
  if (_userdata.session_logged_in) {
    $('.contact-item').hide();
    }
  });

Hey,

Just to point this out for future reference, your problem occurs here :
[SOLVED] IN JAVASCRIPT ERROR CODE Scr10

It looks like you tried to close the jQuery document ready function inside the condition, or you pasted code that contained those closing characters. Remove that and your script will function properly. However, note that using document.write once the document is ready will cause you to overwrite the document, so I'll suggest using this method to append CSS to the document :
Code:
$('head').append('<style type="text/css"> .contact-item { display: none;}</style>');
