Hi,
I don't know the name of this widget http://prntscr.com/axt93a (?), but it 'd be nice to have the user's prefference regarding the widget being shown or hidden to be stored in a cookie. I now have to manually hide the widget every day.
Thanks in advance,
Samantha.

It's already stored in a cookie. Do you clear your browser cache and cookies when you're finished browsing ?
My FF stores the cookies from other sites, as well as this site's log in info. But alas, it doesn't store thát cookie, apparently.
Under Options > Privacy do you have the following option enabled ?
Because my preferences in regards to the homepage message persist until I close Firefox.

I've got this: http://prntscr.com/axz8mi
When I log off, close the tab with a session to your site, but stay in the same browser session, it remembers it alright, but when I restart the browser it doesn't.

Hmm.. that should keep the cookie. I made a small change, try refreshing the browser and toggling the homepage message. Then close the browser and come back to see if it kept your preference.
