Database Install Question

Hello, Tried to install the database last night did everything as the tutorial said but i was not getting the add new table screen or any screens i saw in the tutorial, maybe it was too late haha

Oh and will my moderators beable to issue bans even with the disallow moderators to ban is ticked off?

I see there is a bit more work to be done for things to work fully on pun and maybe my skin is making a issue with the database not sure.

Did you insert the URL of your database forum correctly ? It should be the path of the topic e.g. /t369-database-install-question

The drawback to this method of storing data is that members are raised to moderator status, so unfortunately moderators will be unable to ban members in the database group, because they're the same auth level. This is of course if you plan on using the plugins publicly, if you're using it privately, like for staff, then you really don't need to worry.

Thank you for the reply I added the url but i do like using it for staff i think that will be better for now!

Yes, it is not a very good installation for large communities with a lot of staff. I was working with the shoutbox awhile back, and changed it to work without the database using a single topic. I have it sitting there for now, until I decide working on that again.
