[BUG] Adding SCEDITOR buttons generates question mark
Page 1 of 1 • Share
Hello fellow coders (and non-coders?)...
Take a look here and give me your opinion:
I have already tried replacing the SCEDITOR buttons that I have installed; however, they keep appearing as question marks no matter what I do. A few of them have the proper button, but also the question mark as well.
Am I missing something? Would like to troubleshoot this... Not a nagging bug, but definitely tacky.
Edit: The button to the left of the source/WYSIWYG button is the maximize button.

Hey @Dr Jay,
Sorry for the late reply. The icons for the editor buttons on Forumactif Edge are created using Font Awesome, and any buttons that don't have an icon set with CSS display a question mark. Sometimes this can be problematic, especially if you want to use background images instead. So the best solution would be to find and remove the question mark icon. Go to Admin Panel > Display > Colors > CSS stylesheet, then find and remove this snippet of code :
Note that you can also overwrite the question mark on a single button by specifying an icon with CSS :

- Code:
.sceditor-button-inline-code:after {
content:"\f0c4";
}
Thanks for overseeing that little detail. It's easy to miss something you're not looking for.
I think I'm really beginning to fully understand the FAE architecture.
I keep those codes bookmarked too, which is what I do for the stylesheet of the Bootstrap kit... Very helpful!
New Content after removing FA code
from it:
To fix the Maximize button, since it did not automatically use the SCEDITOR one, I placed in CSS:
- That fixed the button.
Thank you! Bug > Legitimated (solved)
