CSS is still one of my personal favorites. There's so many tricks and ways to design HTML elements. Although in the beginning it can be pretty silly trying to align some boxes for, like 3 hours.

I'm wanting to design themes again, so I've been working with CSS a lot more lately.. A lot of my old themes had a few mistakes here and there, since I wasn't too experienced. I know what I'm doing now, so I hope to design some nice themes for people to use.. that means making graphics too hehe. ^^

I never had time for theme, I started few times but never finished.

I created just one for my forum and changed colors and small of design few times...

Themes take a looot of time and patience.. I almost have the CSS done, after that I'll be working on the graphical portion. I'm trying to do a little bit at a time, then when I'm satisfied I'll submit it.

Oh oh I love CSS TOO XD because well its nice and awesome and the hover effects just make it epic XD
I designed 2 themes yet (using a simple skin as a base).. it takes lot of time but looks really good XD

You are really good at drowing.

Themes can use a lot of time, especially if you don't know exactly how you want something and need test designs.

Yes, I feel this would be beneficial to everyone on fm, (It has been for me) Ange is awesome in just about every part and feature in the acp (at least the crucial stuff). I will do my part to spread the word!

Also, I think the awesomeness of those drawings broke the image resize thingy I wrote. I'm gonna have to look into that.

CSS was the first one I got the hang of, JavaScript took me a bit longer, but I'm still prone to mistakes even now. I usually start with the Prosilver default theme and start writing some CSS into the Firefox style editor. However, if I'm making a variant of one of my themes I just take the CSS and change the colors. i.e. Light Theme => Dark Theme

I've gotten more experience in Graphics, so I hope to do better this time around.

PS. Ange, why you don't create twitter account for FM Design?

It's more personal to me, so I just use my main account. Plus it's not like I tweet everyday.

1. I starting with default themes and templates when working on forums styles, but when I work on Joomla I delete template and write my, and css just edit.

When not working on forums I like to create something from nothing. Sorta like this, that took me almost a whole week.

Yep I remembered, it's so nice to have some tools that display the changes as you make them. I've been using the Firefox devtools since I started. When I was first learning JavaScript I was using the Firefox scratchpad to run and test my scripts..

Oh yes, I remember seeing you on there ! Anyone has a chance to become a staff member if they're effective, kind, and dedicated.. As for your warning, we opened a system a few months back in case you didn't know. You shouldn't feel bad though, if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything.

You're correct, I believe I was around 800 posts at the time. I remember after that, I had started studying JavaScript.

I'm from the United States up North on the East Coast in the Mountains of Pennsylvania. Harsh winters, hot summers. One day I'd like to move to Canada or Europe. No, I have never been to Croatia, I wouldn't mind visiting. ^^

Thanks I am still working at it, turns out the spoiler did it, not you. I didn't like the one in the AP something about it is too heavy for me, like how images don't appear while it's running. Kinda annoyed me. xD

You live in PA Ange, I live next door, in NJ. I would love to live in PA though, I am into the survival stuff and you guys are pretty much all woods .

I think being a staff member on fm or knowing 1 closely is key to getting your suggestions and problem solved a bit quicker. Being a staff gains respect among everyone, Jadster is a freind of mine so hopefully if my forum (which he is an admin on) ever runs into trouble help is never too far away.
