Hello, I would suggest (not sure if already exists), a button "UP" in the forums, which when clicked by the author of a topic, automatically this topic becomes as "unread" in the sub forums, and appears at the top the widget last topics. It would be interesting also set a time for this button again becomes active, preventing the member use it any time.

Thank you.

So basically a button to make a read topic new again without posting a reply?

Exactly. So we end up with the "flood" (unnecessary messages).

It is similar. I would like to be in all versions, and instead of posting a message to make the topic the unread:

And appears at the top the widget latest topics. In addition to set a time when the button is active, preventing the member is pressing the same at any time.

Hmm.. in regards to making topics "unread." The only way you can do that is by making a new reply to the topic or reposting said topic.
