He has created another theme which he will activate on FMD soon. It's in a testing phase at the moment.

Most likely due to your screen's width. On larger screens the forums would display side-by-side. Anyway, I don't plan on fixing it anytime soon since I'm working on a new theme.

Don't worry about. 
I do agree, I seemed to use more grays than actual colors in this theme. The new theme I'm working on will allow you to choose a variety of colors, though.

I was using tor and the forum styles must not work for that browser. It works fine on Chrome
