Every forum needs forum rules, right?

Though everyone knows the unwritten rules and how to be mature, I still agree. Peoples on the future will start saying, "Why was I banned? There's no topic saying I can't do that.".

Perhaps because the owner chose not to introduce additional forum rules? I know plenty of sites that don't want to have that many restrictions.

I still believe that community needs to have written that is allowed and what is not. Sure most of members here are familiar with common rules and how to behave, but then again someone who is new to the forum might not know them, so yeah

Rest assure, it's not Ange's 1st day on the job and he doesn't ban that easily. There will always be people who deliberately want to misbehave and they don't care where to do it. I think it's fair to say everyone's got to learn sometimes and therefor it's fair to give them a 2nd chance.

I've got tons of extra rules implemented on my site, but that's only because friendcodes.nl used to be a very bad place before I purchased the domain and I wanted the idiots from the past to stop coming back.

I did originally have rules written up, but I felt that they were too intimidating and restricting. Currently we're on "no rules" at the moment, but I'll definitely consider writing up some general guidelines that are more fun and less intimidating.

For now I'm going by my own discretion, and the main rule is to have fun and play nicely with each other. Wink

Well, it's just gotta be a community yk, that's all that counts, right?

I think you guys missed my point. I didn't mean that we need rules to harshly restrict or make forum less fun, but to let newer people know basic behaviour and guidelines.
But It's up to Ange Smile

Oh yes, I know what you meant. I meant that the old rules that I had written up were too intimidating, hence why they're nowhere to be seen. Razz I plan on writing up some new general guidelines when I get the time.

I'm bumping this up to remind myself to do this tomorrow.

@Ruzmarin I'll give you the "Power of Suggestion" award in advance. Salute
