Using the database protect and filter options
Page 1 of 1 • Share
Version 1.02 of the database included an option which allows you to filter posts from modifications and protect your database. Note that these options are not full proof, but for the most part will help protect your database from normal members. For an explanation on these options, read on.
Database Protect
This option enables all security options such as filter. It's boolean, so it can be enabled and disabled with the following values :
If you want to ensure your database is only accessible by Administrators, then it is important that you have this option Enabled !
Database Filter
Filter allows you to filter certain tables from being edited or deleted. It takes an array of PIDs, with each PID being separated by a comma. By default the filter option should look like the following code.
To protect a table, go to your database, copy the PID from your table's header, and paste it between the brackets.
To protect multiple tables, simply do the same, but make sure to separate each PID by a comma !
With this set, anyone who tries to edit or delete a table will be redirected to the index.
