What do I dislike ? A lack of a database, or means to store simple data for use on the forum.

What do I like ? The simple administration interface, template editor, version switching.. the list goes one. bounce

So there is a lot to write.

First about Forumotion free forum hosting
Like:
Totally free software and hosting
4 versions of design
Very easy CSS in one file
Very easy templates in just few files (some softwares have around 100 template files only)
Very easy to add JS document and put it where you want
Forumotions own software
Default you can have widgets without plugins
No installation or upgrading or MySQL, php and other problems like that

Dislike:
You can't choose where you want advertises and they are big and costs a lot.
You can't edit anything at Admin Panel
You can't edit core files
It is hard to edit templates
Haven't MyCode or any php code support
You can't edit language & phrases
Haven't plugins and support for it

For forumotion support forum:
Like:
Fast response on most of questions
Clean and good organisation
Proffesional members

Dislike:
Not allowed "Moderating members"
Can't use colors, bold or big characters to "tag" something important and it isn't nice to write with big letters
Too serious staffs and warnings
Long time to response at some questions (harder requests or messages to staffs)
Some time (while Kirk was manager) Support managers and Sanket were more active than Managers Smile
Sentences are always same when you make a mistake
Warning for title what haven't title asociated to problem

Those are some good points. Smile

I have some response to your dislikes of the support.
Not allowed "Moderating members"
Member-wise I don't think it's great to just go around moderating members. It's a support forum, so your main focus should be to help the member. To some, it can be offending being told what to do, especially by a fellow member. However, I suppose in some cases a "friendly reminder" is okay. It really depends on the staff member's judgement.

Can't use colors, bold or big characters to "tag" something important and it isn't nice to write with big letters
You may use a bit of bold or color to highlight certain portions. It's just if you write in all bold, color, large fonts, it can be hard to read for some. Like bright red font. pale

Too serious staffs and warnings
They're serious when necessary, but nowadays it seems they're more lenient. e.g. warning appeals, allowed double post for information.. It all depends on the judgement of the staff member. Smile

Long time to response at some questions (harder requests or messages to staffs)
It's true that we have our limits, if we're not able to provide an answer, another staff or member will. Of course some questions are not questions, but requests for a feature which requires large amounts of time.. Questions take priority over requests. Wink

Furthermore there are sometimes issues that are out of our control, such as server problems. This requires the attention of our Administrator, and she is only present during weekdays. ( Mon - Fri )

Some time (while Kirk was manager) Support managers and Sanket were more active than Managers
Staff are volunteer, so sometimes they may not be able to be on. In Kirk's case, he was absent for a long time without word, we still don't know what happen to him. Sad

Sentences are always same when you make a mistake
Some staff use preset messages while others prefer to write their own. It may seem redundant sometimes, but it makes it easy on a few, especially new recruits.

Warning for title what haven't title asociated to problem
It's more or less a reminder that your topic title should be related to your question. That way members can find it by searching, or it'll be easier known what the problem is. I'm guilty of sometimes forgetting, or not even noticing the title, so I may change it for them, especially when they're not the best at English. bounce

I apologize for the dissection, but I thought this information would be reassuring to you. Surprised

I dis like the lack of ability to disable the chatbox timeout, the lack of updates, they do not check suggestions section enough I feel. I would complain about the servers, but I feel they actually have good servers for a free service. They crash a lot less the most. I love the quick support on the fm support forum, it is fanatasic, most services give you an email address, phone number and/or a forum where you must 2 days for a reply let alone a solution. That is what I like and Dis like about FM.

1. It isn't bad if you reminder member who you helped...

2. When you write few codes it is better to bold, color than just text. It make thing easier for reading. You can forbide red color for warnings for example, but all colors...

3. I mean, there have how much exactly you can have
warnings on some other forums it depending on what you done.

4. I mean mostly on response to pm-s

5. That time Kirk wasn't so active, Jophy come sometimes just to clean suggestions sections and Base wasn't so active at helping. He was at forum.

6. It will be A LOT better if you write something own, looks like you care about it. This way it looks like you are here because you must and you just copy paste text...

7. Some members don't know English a lot and if they have few questions it's really hard to choose title...

I understand all of that. I just sayed what I don't like Smile

@Ivan Kerepčić

2. I see no problem for bolding or coloring bits of code. For example :
To change the color, change "blue" in colorMe('blue');

3. I thought the warning system to be a little wonky, so I still think it could use a few improvements. The appeals was a big step.

6. Everyone has their preference. Personally I like to write my own messages.

I can understand your views, thanks for sharing. Smile
