Quick editor [Project]

Hello everyone,

I am here to notify you of a change on the forum index. Clicking the title of a forum will now load the topics list of that forum.


Currently I have added three options to the nav of the quick topic list. The options are as follows :

• See more
Clicking this link will take you directly to that forum.

• Create a new topic
Will take you directly to the editor to create a new topic in that forum.

• Close
Clicking this closes the current topic list.

We will consider this beta stage since I have wrote this up yesterday evening. I plan to improve on this further. So, if you encounter any bugs please remember to report them here.

Currently I have started work on a quick editor for the create a topic button. It should popup if you're logged in, otherwise you will be taken to login.



The editor itself is not fully functional, but you are able to send your messages to whichever forum you clicked on. I will probably begin further work tomorrow, or when I am free.

The editor for 'create a new topic' has had a few updates. So far the basic font styles have been added, they are :



Bold
Italic
Underline
Strike

The test button is for me when I am working on new functions. The quick previewing is partially functioning, you may notice some things wont format. If you encounter any bugs do not hesitate.

I will continue work on this further when I am free.

Today, 2 new buttons have been added to the editor.

The first is Align which allows you to adjust the alignment of the text. Clicking any option from the list will insert those tags.


The last is Quote which will allow you to insert a quote. You can insert a blank quote, or a quote with the author.

More buttons have been added. You can now edit posts with the quick editor by clicking the edit button. If you want to use the default editor, use the link at the bottom of the quick editor.

If you encounter any bugs, do not hesitate to report them here.

I was also thinking of adding an input field to allow you to type the hex or color name you want.

For now I have finished work on the colors. I decided to delete my old work and create a color cube layout; I love that layout..


Hovering over any of the colors will show its hex in the input, and its color at a larger scale. You can also type the color you want in the input field, and click the enter key to insert that color.

For now I am finished developing/experimenting with this. Below if you wish, you can play around and use this editor as you wish. Note that this was mainly developed for version phpbb3. I also cannot assure that it will work 100% as I was mainly working on this for practice.

The code should be added in javascript management and all pages. It should run when creating topics, replies, or editing. Also note that the previewing is partial and may not be 100% true of what you'll really get.

like how it will work or where and how ill see it
some how on the testing forum is not working

This was pretty old, so I'm not exactly sure. I know for a fact that I developed it on phpbb3, other than that it's pretty outdated and bug prone.
