[BUG?] Possible issue with white space at bottom of page.
Page 1 of 1 • Share
Hello coders and friends alike...
After the few recent updates to FAE, thanks... Anyway, I would like to address a bug I have encountered.
http://www.geekpolice.net/ is my forum URL
Look in the footer, and you will see extended white space at the bottom of the page. I have not configured the footer since the several recent FAE updates and cannot find the issue.
I have attempted several overflow:hidden schemes, especially on footer elements to no avail (only experimenting in developer tools).
If there is any feedback I can obtain on this, it would be splendid. It is obviously an eyesore.
With FAE doing minor modifications on the overall_footer_end, this can cause issues or affect how my footer operates, because I do not use overall_footer_begin.

Hi @Dr Jay,
It looks like the issue comes from the new theme selector UI. The theme list is causing that whitespace ; I hadn't thought about the theme selector being on the bottom of the forum which is why this occurred. Add the following CSS to your stylesheet, it should reposition the theme list so that it displays above the theme selector.
I'll look into adding a fix for this in the next patch, similar to the above solution. Thanks for posting this

- Code:
#footer_end #fae_theme_list {
margin-top:-335px !important;

Hello again @Ange Tuteur,
Please pardon me while I laugh again at myself Anyway, I was scrolling mobile on my site this morning after waking up for a few minutes, I opened the theme selector, and I saw that it extended down by default instead of the native popup selector (which I remember mentioning changing the selector to try the on-page look)... I said to myself, "I wonder if this is it." Well, here we are later. Honestly, if we were on the same development team, we'd be unstoppable... But that's irrelevant.
Oh yeah, back to this... Okay, fix is done and looks good! Thanks. Yeah, I like it at the bottom of the forum, since it looks more "native" if you get what I mean. My default theme is Governor Bay blue, because it is closest to our colors as a forum. We have every category, rank, group, etc. all themed to the "GeekPolice" idea, which carries on from there. So, the theme selector is somewhat hidden at the bottom of the four-column footer + copyright section. Lots of fun!

I don't mind asking, as at least you discovered someone was placing it at the bottom, but also whether to transform it or not based on space available. I am looking forward to future updates. I stay updated on release notes so I can keep our team updated as well. In our update topic on GeekPolice, I tell everyone what has been updated so if anyone sees any bugs, I can immediately notify you.
Hello @Ange Tuteur
It has been updated, and everything still looks fine. Thanks for checking! Keep up the good work as always!
