I can assure you that this bug is not related to the recent update that was released for Forumactif Edge. I believe Forumotion has silently made modifications to the toolbar without notifying us, thus breaking the forum. I'll ask for more information regarding this issue while also preparing a fix.

It is affecting my forums, especially ones with FAE. The bug is not affecting those who have not customized their toolbar. I have a feeling removing customizations and saving them to Notepad would be good, and then re-adding them one-at-a-time to see if the issue reproduces. So far, for me, clearing cache, board cookies/all cookies... etc. has not repaired it.

FM just released the ModernBB, so I wonder...

In addition, the Profile info box at the top of my GeekPolice forum is saying undefined for most fields.

Anyway, I should be able to help do some diagnoses. I will post with my updates while you guys think too/try too.

Update 1: I can confirm as well it has nothing to do with FAE, because others have had issues this morning, but they have resolved.

In addition, I had not updated to the newest FAE, but the problems had occurred on my forums. On my test forum, after doing the FAE update, the problem was still present.

Update 2: Removing all customizations did not help. This is an internal issue, one that is past our ability to control. We wait it out or someone figures it out.

Update 3: I consider this catastrophic... FM Toolbar, Login Popup, and Forum Information Queries are all completely bugged right now. Time to disable extra features.

I figured out the cause ; In the wake of their new forum version, they decided to remove the toolbar stylesheet from the document and placed it directly in the forum stylesheet. So, any forums that are not using the default stylesheet ( FAE ), will display an unstyled ( broken ) toolbar. Good news though ! I retrieved the default toolbar CSS and I'll be preparing an emergency patch after a few tests.

Well that makes sense. I was looking at the option: deactivate the basic CSS... pretty soon... adding in the CSS for the original FA Toolbar code..

Reactivating the default CSS will preserve your custom CSS. There may be a few inconsistencies in the forum design though, because both the custom and default CSS will conflict.

I just noticed this as well. If you notice any other issues caused by the ModernBB update, let me know here and I'll squeeze 'em into the patch.

Well the only other thing was the Profile Box at the top of the homepage, but it was fixed when I inserted the temporary patch I prepared until a full fix is prepared by you. The temporary fix I did was nothing special as I just inserted the entire FA Toolbar CSS... But I had to minify all my CSS just to squeeze it in... Minifying everything completely down to one line is really difficult to work with for us customizers... So anyway, those are the only "design issues" I've seen for the short term, my friends!

I did a check over different pages of the forum, and yeah, I think those are the only two things that were affected by the ModernBB update. The test update I ran was successful, so I'll be sending v1.1.7 online shortly.

Hmm.. perhaps the stylesheet has exceeded its limit ? Try adding the CSS found in this post to your stylesheet. If it doesn't work, you can add it via JS instead :

Save and it should be good.

It shouldn't matter if this CSS is added in the stylesheet or a javascript, since it's for styling a javascript plugin.

Uh hehe... I had to add it in via JavaScript... It turned my toolbar text gray.

I will be looking closely to find the buggy... Oh what a day.
