[EDGE] Legend description breaks in the Subs

I just noticed the descripton in the legend breaks in a funny way in the Sub Forums. Could you please get that fixed?

Hi,

Go to the stylesheet in your admin panel and paste the following code at the end.

Code:

#picture_legend.clearfix .pic_legend_icon {
  min-width:200px;
  width:auto;
  white-space:nowrap;
}

It should fix the text wrapping, but some icons might display out of line a bit.

Alright. I had to make it 250px to fit because of this:




By the way, each time I try to enter something in CSS it skips a couple of characters at the beginning of the line. The gap is even wider than normal when I paste some lines into it. It's really irritating me.

That's a better solution, whoops.

Oh yeah, I noticed.. it seems to be caused by the code box. There's a little trick you can use to straighten out the code in the CSS though. Just select the code that's out of line, then while it's highlighted hold SHIFT and press TAB. Might have to do it a few times, but It should remove the extra spacing.

Never kwew that one before. Sounds a bit complicated for a copy job.

And what about the 2 extra spaces I get when hitting ENTER?


One last question about the legend icons: how do I get them centered on the page?

That might be a result of the minified FAE CSS. The only solution I know for that is to unminify the CSS. You can do that with one of two methods :

1. Select all the CSS in your stylesheet, copy it, and paste it into a tool like this one. Once the CSS is unminified, paste it back into your stylesheet and save.

2. Go to Theme Management which is located in your FAE Control Panel. Choose "No" for minify stylesheet and click import. NOTE : Using Theme Management imports a fresh theme, meaning that it'll overwrite your old theme, so make sure to backup your personal CSS !


These two CSS rules should center the icons :

Ah I nearly figured it out myself lol. I forgot about the !important. It works like styling a table, right?

About the CSS minifying talk. Thanks for the advice. I'll be bearing that in mind. If it keeps annoying me I'll be switching back. FYI, I'm using NOTEPAD++ nowadays. It's handy for those JS tutorials I'm watching and loads of other stuff

No problem. lol yeah, the rule for that one is specific so you need to override it with important. It's a quick switch for minifying / unminifying just have to remember to backup your CSS if you're using the control panel to do it. Notepad++ is an excellent choice.
