What type of theme do you prefer for your forums? Do you prefer a light theme, or a dark theme, explain why if you wish.

I prefer light themes. The reason why is that to me they are easier to read for most people.

That's exactly the reason I like light as well! I've found it hard trying to get good text/bg contrast for links and font when designing dark themes. It always seems much easier when I'm designing light themes.

I hope no one minds me reviving topics Razz
I like dark ones for fun forums.. we get to use bright colors and basically they have nice glow and go easy on eyes while surfing at nights from your phone or something Very Happy
However I believe light themes gies a proffesional look with box shadows etc which dont really work much in dark ones.. Voted dark! Smile

Hi, I prefer light themes, too. They are more friendly and more open for new users. So they can cope with it faster.

I prefer light themes, since they're easier on the eyes and allow for more freedom when it comes to choosing colors. They also don't require much work when trying to find good contrast LOL.
+ with Ange's Night Mode thingy you can make a light theme more dimmed so it won't hurt light-sensitive eyes but will still allow for good contrast and readability.
