I just want to make sure I'm doing this right.
How would I make a centered border smaller than the box it's bordering. Like have the left be 25%, middle be color and 50% and right be 25%?

Hi @Forumedic,
Since the border surrounds the element, you'll need to reduce the width of that element to 50%, so you'll be left with a 50% gap ; divided by two that's 25% each. All you need to do after that is center the element. The resulting CSS would look something like this :
