Just came out randomly in my mind while browsing the Awards Topic. Why not have a forum lottery and whoever has won the 6 numbers (or so) will be given a time-limited award medal?

Hmm.. not a bad idea, I like it. To be honest we could use the points for this ;
1. Members could pay a specified number of points to enter which would go towards the pot.
2. A random member is chosen.
3. That member receives the pot and an award.
It'll give the points a bit more purpose than they have now.

Lol @ 'What are these used for?'. I always wondered ever since I saw that line. Anyway, I'd never participate in any lottery or gambling. I hate gambling.
