Hello dear members,

I've been working on developing a theme picker which will allow members of Forumotion to add and switch current themes with ease. I'm in the process of polishing the script, so I've installed it on this forum for testing. You will be able to find this feature at the footer of the forum. It is in a drop down format; simply click, select a theme, and you're finished.

Your selected theme is stored in a cookie with the lifespan of 1 year. Clearing your cookies or reaching the expiration date will revert to the default theme. If you encounter any bugs please let me know.

Thanks Smile

Amaaaazing Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
Love it so far!

The only flaw that I can see is that when the page loads, firstly the default theme is displayed, and it then gets changed.

Would be nicer if :

-> It can be an option somewhere in Profile Preferences (now that we have template editing, is it possible to modify those pages?).
-> Upon selecting theme the page refreshes.

KEEP IT UP +1 D:

Yes, that is the only thing that you will notice. It does this as it has to load the stylesheet for the forum. I'll see if I can improve it at all though. I don't think you can modify the profile pages.

You can install the theme picker now from here : http://help.forumotion.com/t135248-add-a-theme-picker

hi there how about that kinda of theme Picker

Code:
$("head").append('<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" id="tstyle" />');

            if(my_getcookie("sstyle")) { $("#tstyle").attr("href", my_getcookie('sstyle')); }

            function addstyle(nom,lien) { $("#sstyle").append('<option value="'+lien+'">'+nom+'</option>'); }

            $(function(){

              $("#frame_chatbox").load(function(){
                $("#frame_chatbox").contents().find("head").append($("#tstyle").clone());
              });

              $("iframe[name=smilies]").load(function(){
                $("iframe[name=smilies]").contents().find("head").append($("#tstyle").clone()).append('<style type="text/css">body{margin:500!important;}</style>');
              });

              $("body").append('<select id="sstyle" onChange="my_setcookie(\'sstyle\',$(\'#tstyle\')[0].href=this.value,1,0);$(\'#frame_chatbox,iframe[name=smilies]\').contents().find(\'#tstyle\').attr(\'href\',this.value);this.selectedIndex=0;"><option>Pick up theme</option></select>');

              addstyle("theme 1 name","CSS link");
              addstyle(theme 2 name","CSS link");
              addstyle("revert","");

            });

to add more themes just add mor lines in
Code:
              addstyle("theme 1 name","CSS link");
              addstyle(theme 2 name","CSS link");
              addstyle("revert","");
it should be that way
Code:
              addstyle(theme name","CSS link");
i hope that give a help
