From the instant individuals were born, mothers were always there for us. A delighted day for mothers today, let us celebrate this day to when our mothers became one.

Some parents are real careless when it comes down to safety of their own child(ren) or their friends. This happened yesterday, close to where we live. An 8 yo. girl got severe, 3rd degree, burns over her body lighting a BBQ...

I know, it's in Dutch, but the photos that were shot tell the story alright.
We love having BBQs, especially these warm spring days we're having now, but peeps, PLEASE be careful! Don't play with fire and closely watch and guard your kids, always!
@Philosopher: We've got 3. 3 yo. twins and a rather newborn still < 1 yo. All girls. They're our little princesses and they don't get the message celebrating Mother's Day yet. My foks passed away when I was 18, so there's little to celebrate for me today.
Got breakfast in bed today and a walk in the park, which was delightful indeed. I baked a cake yesterday to enjoy of in the garden with some tea this afternoon. These days I enjoy the smallest of things life's got to offer yk. That day may come sooner or later if you know what I mean.

Recent Achievers Widget is cool! Nice one @Ange Tuteur !
- GuestGuest
Gonna be concentrating more on being an admin / co-owner @ http://avacweb.forumotion.co.uk from now on............
@Ange Tuteur, the widget is great and all, but I was used to look at the left side for online users.
Thanks, I'm still making changes to it since I'm not 100% happy with the result yet.Poser wrote:Recent Achievers Widget is cool! Nice one @Ange Tuteur !
Oh right, I removed that when I was testing something last night. I added it back now.Wilson wrote:@Ange Tuteur, the widget is great and all, but I was used to look at the left side for online users.
Best of luck to you in your new position !Samantha wrote:Gonna be concentrating more on being an admin / co-owner @ http://avacweb.forumotion.co.uk from now on............

It's not new lol! It was imminent, believe me. I was born to be an admin on there.
@Ange Tuteur, did you started your theme from scratch, disabling basic css? I've been visiting your forum for your prototype theme, some of the things aren't in order.
I like it though, I'm excited for it!

@Wilson yep, I disabled the basic CSS and changed the structure of roughly 90% of the templates. It's pretty much a complete overhaul of phpbb3, which is why it has been taking me longer than a normal "change the colors and position" theme. ( i.e. demoactif ) There may be a few things that aren't styled yet, but I'll get to fixing them up soon.
Once I'm satisfied with everything I plan on writing up an installer which will handle installation and updates for the theme. I know there's going to be bugs and I can't ask clients to manually fix a bug every time there's an update, because not everyone has that technical know-how. That's why including a UI that allows the admin to perform updates will be essential.

^ May I know which theme you are talking about? I would like to see it XD
Also just wondering... Is it possible to have responsive designs for forumotion forums? I tried it with my theme long ago but no success.

I'm not sure but I think it's on http://demoactif.forumactif.com/ where he puts all the tutos. I haven't had a proper look at it yet, but as far as I know it's not dynamic (yet) like on AvacWeb (these guys really need to communicate soon lol. I love them both: Ange Tuteur and LGforum. I don't need to choose cuz I've got both of them as my friends. LOL Silly thread actually... ).
Samantha.

Wow, my actual plan for the theme I'm making is to disable the basic css before starting anything else. I was too tired back then when I started, so it didn't happened. Now that I have a motivation (because of you ofc), I might redo it. Thanks!
Wait... are you saying you're going to share that theme to others?! Very kind of you, real kind of you
^^ Starting from scratch allows you full control over the design. Plus you wont need to use !important to override some default styles.
Yes, it'll be released to the public once it's finished. I'll probably hold a beta test for it first, just to clean up bugs and make sure the installer / updater is working correctly.
It's possible, but tricky -- especially if you're not modifying the templates. I plan on making the new theme responsive because I'm trashing the mobile version. That'll be at a later phase once I've got the basic design and layout finished though.

That forum's theme is a simplified version of the one I'm developing. ( just similar CSS styles -- no template edits )Samantha wrote:I'm not sure but I think it's on http://demoactif.forumactif.com/ where he puts all the tutos.
Great looking forum design! I like how it's clean.
So okay responsiveness is tricky but possible. Night make my theme responsive in future then. And probably disable basic css too XD
But first I'll be porting my theme for phpbb3.1 It'll take a while to do that

Yep, I'm happy with the final result here. I created a HTML page with streaming vid & AWC chat on the same page. Now we can comment live on all the finalists. ESF starts at 9pm CEST.

Ange Tuteur wrote:^^ Just like a streaming website, quite nifty.
Yup. Looks great doesn't it? I had a redirect last year to the official ESF pages and didn't make a HTML page back then. It's been quite a lot of coding, but I'm happy with the result. Now I combined the lot so people can actually comment live while watching and staying online @ Friendcodes I just need to enter the live streaming link still (which still is unknown at the moment obviously ) and we're good to go.

This will be tonight's ESF entry by Douwe Bob from The Netherlands. He's from Amsterdam and that's what you see as part of the scene in this official vid:

All set and done now! http://fcnl.actieforum.com/h7- Wanna chat live with the streaming? Register now and log in! Got a livestream and live chat on the same page on my board now! Eurovision Song Contest, bring it on in 35 minutes and may the best contester (preferrably The Netherlands) win!
