Well, that's a nasty surprise. How come? And more importantly, how do I get rid of these when viewing someone's profile?

Hmm.. we can't edit the advanced profile template and CSS wont be much help here that I can think of.. Try going to admin panel > Modules > JS codes management and create a new script with the following settings.
Placement : All pages
